POOL TYPES & ADVANTAGES GUNITE CUSTOM DESIGNS GUNITE Gunite is a mixture of cement, rock, and sand sprayed onto contoured and supported surfaces to build a pool. Gunite is mixed, hydrated, and pumped to the site and air is added separately at the nozzle. Plaster or pebble is usually applied over the gunite.
